QZ9911A.txt - Corrects the DASD Free Space report of the density for the IBM 2105 Enterprise Storage Server Model E20 (also known as the Shark DASD).

QZ9910A.txt - This zap makes Q/R R5.4 panel header lines display R5.4 instead of R5.3 as the program level.

MVS/Quick-Ref Release 5.3

For a list of the new features and facilities contained in MVS/Quick-Ref R5.3, click here.

QZ9911A.TXT - Corrects the DASD Free Space report of the density for the IBM 2105 Enterprise Storage Server Model E20 (also known as the Shark DASD).

MVS/Quick-Ref Release 5.2

For a list of the new features and facilities contained in MVS/Quick-Ref R5.2, click here.

QZ9807E.txt - This zap corrects a problem in the QWIKSLCT selective data base load utility that can cause a U840 abend. This fix is applicable to all customers.

QZ9808A.txt - This zap corrects a problem in the DASD free space display wherein extraneous characters appear in the SMS storage group name if the name being displayed is less than seven characters long. This fix is applicable to all customers.

MVS/Quick-Ref Release 5.1

For a list of the new features and facilities contained in MVS/Quick-Ref R5.1, click here.

QZ9801A.txt - This zap corrects a problem wherein the DASD Free Space command can sometimes fail to display volumes when using esoteric names on MVS/ESA 4.3 systems only.

QZ9801E.txt - MVS/Quick-Ref "greetings" pop-up window may be surrounded by invalid characters. This problem is fixed by this zap, which displays the greeting information in the form of a panel rather than as an ISPF pop-up window.

QZ9801G.txt - CA-SYSVIEW/E and CA-OPS/MVS users can use this customization zap to make MVS/Quick-Ref R5.1 compatible with these two products. This zap makes R5.1 tolerate pre-R5.0 direct program interface calls, which CA-SYSVIEW/E and CA-OPS/MVS use.

QZ9801Q.txt - This zap corrects a problem wherein certain invalid characters are displayed for selected items within the OS/390 information in the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.1 data base.

MVS/Quick-Ref Release 5.0

QWIKCVRT.zip- This ZIP file contains the object code and JCL to create the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 user data base conversion program, which was accidentally omitted from the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 linklib. This program is designed for use by customers who have large or complex user data bases and want to automate the process of converting user data base key indicator records to the new R5.0 format. The contents of this ZIP file are in EBCDIC and therefore you should unzip it, then upload it in BINARY form to your mainframe.

QWIKCV24.zip-Same file as QWIKCVRT.ZIP above, but linked 'AMODE(24),RMODE(24)' for use on MVS systems that do not support I/O from programs executing in 31-bit AMODE (i.e., pre-DFP 3.3 MVS systems).

QZ9703F.txt- This fix corrects a problem in the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 DASD free space feature that prevents it from displaying information for devices with 4-digit device numbers or devices whose UCBs are above the 16mb address line.

QZ9703G.txt- This fix permits you to install the MVS/Quick-Ref data base onto non-3380 DASD. If you have 3390 or 9345 DASD and you want to put the main MVS/Quick-Ref data base on such a device, you must apply this fix to the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 linklib before displaying information using MVS/Quick-Ref.

QZ9704F.txt- This fix corrects a problem that causes extraneous characters to appear on the ISPF command line when MVS/Quick-Ref is invoked via cursor-driven invocation at a 3278 Model 5 terminal.

QZ9705A.txt- This fix applies only to users of Computer Associates' CA-OPS/MVS II or CA-SYSVIEW/E products. The CA-OPS/MVS II and CA-SYSVIEW/E internal facilities that invoke MVS/Quick-Ref directly will stop working when MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 is installed. This zap changes MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 so that it will accept a pre-release-5.0 direct program interface call, thus permitting CA-OPS/MVS II and CA-SYSVIEW/E to function correctly with MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0. Once CA-OPS/MVS II and CA-SYSVIEW/E have been upgraded to support MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0, this zap will no longer be needed.

MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 CA-ROSCOE Interface Fixes:

caroscoe.exe- This file is a self-extracting ZIP file that will produce a complete version of the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 CA-ROSCOE interface with all fixes applied. To use it, download it to your Windows PC, execute it in its own directory, then upload all of the elements it contains to an FB/133/6118 PDS. Follow the instructions in the $QWNOTES member to install the interface.

QWROSMD5.exe- This self-extracting ZIP file contains three changed CA-ROSCOE panels that allow the MVS/Quick-Ref CA-ROSCOE interface to perform correctly when it is invoked at a 3278 Model 5 terminal. Unzip the file after downloading and consult the README.TXT file it contains for additional instructions.

QWROSMD6.exe- This self-extracting ZIP file should be downloaded in BINARY and then executed. Instructions on applying the fixes contained in the file are contained within it. It fixes the following problems with the MVS/Quick-Ref R5.0 CA-ROSCOE interface:

  1. A display error may be encountered when exiting the QW RPF
  2. a processing error is encountered when invoking the QW RPF and passing a L= parameter from the CA-ROSCOE command line.
  3. An error is encountered when specifying L=P.

QWROSMD7.exe- This self-extracting ZIP file should be downloaded in BINARY and then executed on your PC to UNZIP it. The contents are 133-byte long RPFs that restore the DASD free space function to the CA-ROSCOE interface.

QP9705K.txt- This text file contains a fix for the MVS/Quick-Ref CA-ROSCOE interface. The fix corrects a problem that caused improper redisplay of an attached AWS after the QW RPF terminates.

QZ9704B.txt- This fix corrects an 'INVALID PARM' problem that can occur using MVS/Quick-Ref under CA-ROSCOE.
